Poker is a card game in which players try to make the best hand. It’s played with a standard 52-card deck, with two or more decks being used in some variations. Often the cards are dealt face-down, though some games also deal them face-up. Players must then decide whether to bet, pass, or fold their hand.<\/p>\n
If a player has a straight or three of a kind, he wins if the other players do not call his bet. In a tie, the winner is the player with the highest unmatched fifth card.<\/p>\n
In stud poker, two to seven players can play. A deck of 52-cards is usually used, but some games use a deck with a different back colour.<\/p>\n
During the first betting interval, the dealer deals the cards to each player. The dealer can choose to shuffle his deck, or the player can take the cards from the top of the deck.<\/p>\n
Each player has a card and a blank card in his hand. The player who has the best hand takes the pot, while the other players pass, call, or fold.<\/p>\n
When the dealer’s deck is cut, the player on the left gets to shuffle the cards. He then passes the cards to the player on his right.<\/p>\n
At the next interval, all the cards are drawn, and the player who has the best hand is declared the winner. If more than one player is still in the game, the hand is shown and the final round of betting is held.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
